I've posted the recipe on my facebook yesterday...hoping that I will bake it one day...ermmm probably today..;-) ..so..thank you autumn for giving me the chance to stay at home and become a good housewife..
I 've longed for a healthty homemade biscuits.. and walla..today i made one... despite of having eggs, butter and sugar... oats has dominated their tastes and my hand can't stop for more..huhu
so here it goes..
Ingredients
180 g butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup plain flour
¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup raisins
Method
- Cream butter and sugar, until well mixed, but don't overbeat or the mixture will be too soft.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, beat well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and cinnamon and stir into the creamed mixture.
- Add the oatmeal and raisins and stir until thoroughly blended.
- Using a tablespoon, drop small heaps onto trays.
- Bake 180°C for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
well being in Chc and living in an old house... making the 'softening' of butter interesting...
I'd spent more time mixing sugar and butter together than I usually did...
This recipe is sooo easy... even you can ask your hubby to do it...:P
